As founder and CEO of Construction Concepts, Joshua Weisman has spent more than 25 years creating and building some of Texas’ most distinctive commercial spaces. With roots in the hospitality industry, Josh developed an early understanding of how thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and the right furnishings can transform a space and shape the guest experience.
That experience led Josh to recognize a recurring challenge within the design and construction industry: sourcing truly custom, high-quality furniture and lighting while maintaining control over design, quality, cost, and execution. From that need, Custom Concepts Furniture + Lighting was created.

Built as a natural extension of Construction Concepts, Custom Concepts brings the same hands-on approach, attention to detail, and commitment to execution into custom furniture, decorative lighting, and specialty furnishings. Working directly with designers, architects, developers, hospitality groups, and business owners, the company provides tailored solutions ranging from individual statement pieces to complete furniture and lighting packages for large-scale projects.
Josh’s extensive experience in construction and hospitality gives Custom Concepts a unique perspective. The team understands not only how a piece should look, but how it needs to function, perform, install, and ultimately contribute to the overall design of a space.
Under Josh’s leadership, Construction Concepts has contracted more than $250 million in projects and earned recognition from the Houston Business Journal, INC. 5000, INC.
